Trains rolling after transformer fire in NJ

Trains are rolling again between New York City and Philadelphia.

Workers finished repairs after a transformer fire in New Brunswick, N.J., halted Amtrak and commuter service along the busy Northeast Corridor.

Amtrak doesn’t know what caused the fire early Tuesday.

New Jersey Transit trains will start rolling between New York City and Trenton at 6:46 a.m. There will be residual delays along the Northeast Corridor.

NJ Transit restored Midtown Direct and North Jersey Coast Line service into and out of Manhattan earlier Tuesday.
