Haiti – Garry Conille : Official reaction of President Michel Martelly

Following the ratification vote yesterday Tuesday by the Senate by 17 votes for, 3 against and 9 abstentions, the President Michel Martelly, warmly welcomes the news of the ratification by the Senate of the Republic, of the choice of Garry Conille as Chief the next Government and takes the opportunity to congratulate the Grand Corps (the Senate) to have followed the lead of the Chamber of Deputies.
The Head of State congratulates the new Prime Minister who will accompany him in the fulfillment of his promises to the people of Haiti, in order to achieve to the restoration of the rule of law and to a better life for all.

“This step, result of the unflappable leadership of the President of the Republic, is an important milestone in the process of change as desired by the people of Haiti. This vote also sends a clear signal to the partners of Haiti and potential investors,” says the statement from the presidency.
