Tonight the world will know the names of 16 finalists [among the 89 candidates] who participated last Thursday in the semifinals of Miss Universe 2011. It is also that evening in São Paulo, Brazil, that a new beauty queen will be elected among the 16 finalists of this prestigious competition organized by the billionaire Donald Trump. The television Nationale d’Haiti (TNH) will broadcast the show “Miss Universe 2011″ from 8:00 pm (Haiti).
During the semi finals, the postulants to the title, have had to parade in swimsuits and evening dresses and were also judged based on interviews by a panel of seven members [Álvaro Garnero (Brazilian businessman), BJ Coleman (journalist and US television personality), Francesca Romana (Italian jewelry designer residing in Brazil), Jimmy Nguyen (Vietnamese entrepreneur, American and lawyer), Lara Spotts (American and Vice-President of Bravo), Ana Paula Junqueira (Brazilian jetsetter) and Scott Lazerson (consultant Outfit7 of the United States)].
The fight will be difficult for this as coveted crown, candidates must convince that evening a jury different composed of : Helios Castroneves, (Three-time Winner of the Indianapolis 500), Connie Chung (U.S. Broadcast Legend), Isabeli Fontana (Brazilian Supermodel), Vivica Fox (Actress & Television Producer), Adrienne Maloof (From Bravo’s hit series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), Lea Salonga (Tony Award Winner and Actress), Amelia Vega (Miss Universe 2003).
The fans of Anedie Azael (Miss Haiti 2011) have no doubt that our Miss Haiti could become the next Miss Universe 2011. For some European observers, experts in these contests, Anedie is not on the list of favorites… but we must not listen everything that it’s said… Just as in politics, the rumors provide every day their glimmers of hope or of concerns… anyway, tonight we will know the winner and we wish good luck to our beautiful “Pearl of the Antilles.”
